The Studio 1:27 box was previously the one way that students could reach us on campus with their stories. STP VI started the Open Arms approach to open up 4 different ways that students could share their stories with us. They could film in the box, write on paper and turn it into a mailbox, fill out an online form, or visit us in person at STP office hours.

What is Open Arms?

Part of our mission as Storytelling Project is for every student to feel seen and heard, and for every student to see and hear others.

We have a heart to get to know you and hear your stories.

Our goal is to be inspired by your stories and highlight (with your permission, of course) your stories through future creative projects as they each uniquely reflect God's hand.

And there are a couple of ways you can do that!

The Box

Do you know that giant box in the peaq gallery across from Sam's that sits mysteriously in the corner?

Well, that is Studio 1:27, a space for students on campus to share their stories through video!
Just step into the box and press the record button on the remote inside

Share your story or anything that you would like with us!

Press the same button to stop recording and you're all set!

Mailbox

More of a writer?

We just installed a mailbox within the peaq gallery space for you to leave any poetry, art, or letters with anything you would like to share!

Don't worry, the mailbox will be locked so anything you leave with us is kept safe.

We want to respect you and what you share!

Office Hours

Come hang out with us in the Intercultural Arts and
Media (ICAM) office in Lower Beamer!

MONDAYS 5PM- 6PM
